A security gap has been found in the free web email administrations offered by Excite Inc and Microsoft Corp's Hotmail backup. Clients who get a URL in their email and connection straightforwardly to that site leave their email address in the site's server logs. While the blemish isn't particularly genuine, it is expected that immediate advertisers could utilize those addresses to track singular client inclinations and the achievement of different spam crusades. Incidentally, on Monday Hotmail reported its help for the counter spam Smith Bill, which would expand the restriction on garbage faxes to email. Those subtle elements can be uncovered when reports are sent as Hotmail connections and saw in a conventional content manager, for example, BBEdit or Windows Notepad. Answered to the Bugtraq mailing a week ago, the Office opening influences clients of Excel 7.0, PowerPoint 7.0, Word 6.0 and Word 7.0 on Windows 95.
